Our Lab Space

Our 1200 sq ft lab space is located in the Northdale Research Centre (formerly Northdale Public School) on the north end of Laurier’s Waterloo campus. Parking directly in front of the building is available to all visitors free of charge. Upon arrival, families are escorted by a member of our research staff into our waiting area. This space is designed to ease any pre-session jitters in children with its soothing atmosphere of toys, colouring, and books for all ages. Parents can enjoy a selection of coffee, tea, water, and snacks free of charge while they wait. Siblings who are not taking part in a session are welcome to remain with parents in this area. All study sessions take place in a separate testing room connected to the waiting area. This room is outfitted with audio and visual equipment to capture everything that happens during the sessions. It’s also stocked with a range of toys and interactive materials designed to engage children and create a comfortable environment.
